The big difference between fossil fuel and EV is time to fill up. I can be in and out of a petrol station in 5 minutes and another 500 miles worth of fuel. Useful on long journeys. The local shop may offer a EV charger in due course, but I doubt they’d invest in a 100kW+ one to cut charging time. So I need another reason to be there for a while, especially if I don’t have off street parking at home. This is the challenge, can we get faster chargers to be common place, so they can be useful in place people may only stop for 10 minutes?
