National Highways reports that this project has been awarded Gold level accreditation under the Carbon Literacy Project. 
However, the definition of “low carbon” is unclear and “green” hydrogen - produced without burning carbon - is unlikely to be available at the scale required.
“Blue” hydrogen – produced by burning carbon, capturing the CO2 emissions and injecting it into geological formations with no leakage, ever – might not be available in time or at an attractive price (production as proposed through the Hynet and East Coast clusters is not guaranteed).]]></description>
