Onshore wind developers, trade bodies, investors and supply chain companies have called on new energy minister Kwasi Kwarteng to establish a new approach to onshore wind.
Cottam out
EDF Energy has withdrawn its Cottam plant from the Balancing and Settlement Code, effective from 28 August.
The company said Cottam has not traded within the last 14 months.
Coal closing down
The Aberthaw B power station is to close. Owner RWE has proposed to close the 1,560MW plant on 31 March 2020.
