Thrive Renewables has acquired the 14MW Dunmow solar farm in Essex. Construction of the project isb now complete and operations are expected to start in May.
Dunmow is the third project to be funded by Fair Play Clean Energy Ltd, Thrive’s joint venture with TopCashback Sustainability, which has £80 million in capital to fund new clean energy projects in the UK.
It is Thrive’s first wholly-owned ground-mount solar project and Thrive says it is part of ambitious growth plans to double the generation capacity of its portfolio by 2028. Thrive recently announced new project development rights that will take its total capacity from 91.5MW to 170.1MW by 2027.
The Dunmow solar project was originally owned by the developer, PS Renewables, which Thrive will be retaining as the EPC contractor on the project.
