Good Energy and New Motion start trial for EV charging proposition

Good Energy, the 100% renewable electricity and green gas provider, has signed a pilot agreement with Europe’s largest smart charging solutions provider for electric vehicles, NewMotion.

The pilot agreement will see NewMotion install smart electric vehicle charging points at Good Energy’s offices in Wiltshire. Following a successful six month trial, the two companies will work in partnership to develop an electric vehicle charging proposition for Good Energy’s business and domestic customers.

“We’re delighted to be working with NewMotion to diversify our offering and invest further in our electric vehicle capabilities” said Randall Bowen, director of business services at Good Energy. “Electric vehicles form an important part of our new strategy: an increased focus on clean technologies.”

NewMotion has a public network of over 50,000 charge points across 25 countries and over 100,000 registered charge cards. The company’s UK business developer, Lee Feihn, commented: “We’re very excited to be working with Good Energy – a company whose values align closely with our own. We look forward to developing a partnership that uses smart charging solutions to help support the increasing number of people driving electric vehicles in the UK.”

Good Energy’s mission is to power the choice of a cleaner, greener future together. Good Energy is a renewable energy company, supplying 100% renewable electricity and green gas, to homes and businesses across the UK.

The announcement comes after Good Energy and the Eden Project announced that they were partnering on the first commercial battery storage project in the UK.
