Asset manager Alpha Real Capital has acquired 17 solar farms from owner Innova Energy – Alpha Capital’s largest solar transaction so far.
The £86 million portfolio includes 17 solar farms across the UK, with extension and expansion rights. Alpha says the addition of the 61.5MW portfolio will increase its annual low generation to around 540GWh from 215MW of capacity at 45 sites.
Will Morgan, head of renewables at Alpha Real Capital said: “The addition of this portfolio takes Alpha’s solar assets to 215MW and 45 sites. Following a strong market recovery, we anticipate remaining active in the market as we continue to source opportunities that will deliver the UK’s energy transition.”
Phillip Rose, Alpha chief executive said: “This latest investment takes our renewables investment programme to over £800 million diversified across wind, solar and hydro.”
