Development consent has been granted for the Outer Dowsing offshore wind farm.
A decision on the project, developed by GT R4 Limited, a joint venture of Corio, TotalEnergies SE and Gulf Energy Developments, was due last year, but on 7 October the Secretary of State said he would delay the decision until 10 February.
GT R4 Limited won consent for the construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of an offshore wind farm including up to 100 wind turbines, with up to four offshore substations and a generating capacity of up to 1.5GW.
The consent also includes up to two offshore reactive compensation platforms, offshore and onshore cabling, construction of an onshore substation connecting to a proposed National Grid Electricity Transmission substation and associated development.
