OVO has launched an electric vehicle (EV) charging app that brings together public charging and its Charge Anytime smart home charging.
The company says the OVO Charge app will be a UK-first in having one app, for charging at home and on the road.
The new OVO Charge app, on Kaluza’s intelligent energy platform, allows customers to manage multiple cars in a household.
It says the upgraded app offers:
• Charge at home with Charge Anytime and at public chargers, all in the same app.
• Households with more than one EV can manage them all through a single account.
• Existing savings on public charging through Boosts remain.
Alex Thwaites, Director of Electric Vehicles, OVO said: “By combining Charge Anytime into the OVO Charge app, we’re simplifying life for EV drivers. We’re the first in the UK to offer this all-in-one solution as part of our relentless commitment to make EVs the go to choice for drivers.”
Existing Charge Anytime users will be phased onto the new Charge app throughout September and October.
