Investment manager Downing has acquired two ‘shovel-ready’ fully consented solar projects.
The 15MW solar project in Devon and the 20MW project in Shropshire both have 40-year land leases and are expected to commission in 2027.
The projects have 15-year Contracts-for-Difference. Downing’s Energy & Infrastructure team said it is already managing around 16,000 solar sites across the UK. Solar currently represents around 50% of Downing’s global energy and infrastructure holdings. It also forms an important part of its active development and acquisition pipeline.
