Chargepoint installer Andersen EV has claimed that an EV charge point helps attract homebuyers.
The company surveyed 1000 car owners across the UK and found that more than half (53%) would be “positively influenced” in buying a home if it had a pre-installed EV charger. For 6% it was a ‘deciding factor’ while for others it would have a ‘very strong’ (16%) or ‘strong’ (13%) influence on their choice.
The most enthusiastic were aged 18 to 24, of whom 82% said an existing charger would positively influence their decision, compared with 33% of those aged 65 and over.
