UK Power Reserve bringing 60MW into operation

UK Power Reserve (UKPR) has made significant progress at three new power stations totaling nearly 60MW of capacity. The gas-fired generators at Bristol Road, Tonypandy and Carrington are part of UKPR’s 524MW development portfolio.

The projects reuse previous gas work sites at Bristol Road and Tonypandy. Bristol Road has completed commissioning and is now commercially available and able to export 20MW. At Tonypandy, all nine gensets have been delivered and cold commissioning is about to commence. At the Carrington site, near Manchester,  mechanical work has been completed and the gas connections to all gensets have been finished.
