BEIS has opened a competition for £20 million in grant funding for technologies used in new nuclear, focused on helping move towards demonstration and commercialisation. The fund builds on an initial £5 million award that has been running in a two-year programme since mid 2017.
BEIS will fund projects in the areas of: advanced materials; component manufacture and automation; large scale nuclear component manufacturing and assembly; manufacturing modelling; coolant chemistry; codes and standards; and prefabrication.
Applications must be submitted by 8 March to [email protected]. Enquiries must be submitted by 8 February.
