Grants available for local energy projects

Grant applications are invited for a share of up to £30 million from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), to develop local energy systems for UK communities. The aim is to create a pipeline of highly innovative, ambitious and investable local energy system designs that will be ready to roll out across the UK in the 2020s. Designs must deliver cleaner, cheaper energy services.

Applicants can claim up to £3 million in grant funding for projects with total eligible costs between £2 million and £20 million.

The competition closes on 10 August.
